Lake Forest Bank Robber Takes $3,785

LAKE FOREST — A man escaped Saturday with $3,785 after holding up a Bank of America branch here, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The robbery occurred at 23831 El Toro Road. A sheriff’s spokesman said the man entered the bank about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and handed a threatening note to a teller. No weapon was seen and no shots were fired, deputies reported.
The man was described as white, about 40 to 45 years old, standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He has black hair and a graying mustache, deputies said.
