Arizona Rallies to Defeat UC Irvine in Basketball

Trailing by seven points at the half, Arizona rallied quickly in the second half and defeated UC Irvine, 84-64, in a nonconference women’s basketball game Sunday in Tucson.

After Arizona (1-3) opened the second half with a 10-0 run, Irvine (0-4) hung close until another 10-0 run by the Wildcats that ended with five minutes remaining.

Katie Yoshioka scored 22 points for the Anteaters. Stacie Tave had 15 and Keisha Anderson and Megan Magee each had 14 for Arizona. Magee added 13 rebounds.
