Fumes Send 25 to Hospital

FREEPORT, Me. —
Fumes from a noxious combination of cleaning chemicals forced the evacuation of an L. L. Bean distribution center, sending 25 people to hospitals, officials said. No one was seriously hurt, and those taken to hospitals Wednesday night were released after examinations, a company spokeswoman said.
