SANTA PAULA : Man’s Body Found Under Pickup Truck
Hikers on Friday found the body of a man who apparently died when his pickup truck plunged off Balcom Canyon Road into a steep ravine, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The man, whose identity was not available late Friday, was found by hikers about 4:50 p.m. at the bottom of a ravine south of South Mountain Road, CHP dispatcher Jim Hardy said. The site is east of Santa Paula. The man’s body was pinned under the truck and was beginning to decompose, Hardy said.
Officials on Friday night had not determined how long the body had been there, Hardy said.
