Crenshaw 2, Dorsey 1--Strikers Simon Goitom and Guadalupe Baltazar tallied on personal plays in the first half, giving the Cougars (6-4-1, 5-3) a Southern Pacific Conference win Wednesday over host Dorsey (4-7-1, 3-5-1). Dons captain Franklin Paz rallied to close the margin on a breakaway, booting the ball to the back of the net at close range.

Roosevelt 3, Jordan 2--Jesus Moreno scored two goals in the first half as the visiting Roughriders defeated Jordan (0-10-2, 0-8-1) in a Southeastern Conference game Wednesday. Cesar Ruiz closed the door on the Bulldogs’ second-half comeback with a direct shot in the 65th minute to clinch the match for Roosevelt.

Manual Arts 6, Los Angeles 2--Raymundo Garcia scored two goals as the Toilers (10-3, 8-2) routed the Romans in a Coastal Conference match Wednesday at Los Angeles.

The Toilers 1-2 midfield punch of Pablo Puga and Selvin Pineda added a goal apiece, as did Juan Rivas and Mariano Portillo.

Manual Arts has scored 48 goals this season while giving up only 17.

Belmont 3, Wilson 0--Walter De Leon scored two goals on penalty kicks to lead Belmont (11-0-1, 7-0-1) to a Northern Conference victory at home Tuesday. Eric Hernandez took a crossing pass from Adrian Camorlinga to score the other goal for the Sentinels. Wilson finished the season at 3-7-2 overall, 2-4-2 in league play.

Marshall 3, Lincoln 1--Victor Lozano scored on a pass from Gustav Almador, but it was not enough as the Tigers (2-8-1, 2-5-1) were defeated by the visiting Barristers (4-1-3 in league) in a Northern Conference game Monday.

Bell 2, South Gate 2--Gerardo Rodriguez and Freddy Campos scored goals as the Rams (4-7-1) played Bell (6-3-3, 6-2-2) to a tie in a Southeastern Conference matchup Monday.

One of the Ram fullbacks inadvertently knocked the ball into his own goal, enabling the Eagles to escape with the tie. Osvaldo Williams scored the Eagles’ other goal with a penalty kick.

Washington 6, Dorsey 2--Elio Guzman and Octavio Panduro each scored two goals to lead the Generals (6-3-2, 6-2-0) to the Southern League championship Monday at Washington. The Generals will be the second-ranked team from the Southern Pacific Conference, behind San Pedro.

Salesian 9, Cantwell 0--Salesian posted its third shutout in a row as Octavio Alvarez led the Mustangs with two goals in a rout Wednesday of Cantwell at home. The Mustangs (4-0-1) improved their home record to 103 victories in a row.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

San Pedro 1, Garfield 0--The Bulldogs (7-4-1, 7-2-1) lost their first home game of the season to the Pirates (13-0-1, 10-0) in a Southeastern Conference match Wednesday. Christine Truax headed the ball in off a corner kick in the 30th minute to lead the Pirates to their fourth league title in a row. Garfield heads to the playoffs as the second seed.

Belmont 3, Venice 1--Maria Ramirez, Solia Michel, Maria Zavala each scored a goal for Belmont (3-9-1, 2-7-1) in a Central Conference match Monday at Belmont.
