PLACENTIA, YORBA LINDA : Forums on School Boundaries Slated
A series of public forums to discuss changes in school attendance boundaries will be held in January.
The hearings are sponsored by an advisory committee appointed by Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Supt. James O. Fleming. The committee has been meeting since last spring and will present its recommendations for attendance boundary changes to the superintendent in February.
Although members of the Attendance Area Boundary Committee will be present at the forums to hear residents’ concerns and ideas, they will not discuss their recommendations at that time.
The schedule of forums is as follows:
* Jan. 7, Backs Community Building, 201 N. Bradford Ave., Placentia.
* Jan. 13, Bryant Ranch School, 24695 Paseo de Toronto, Yorba Linda.
* Jan. 19, Educational Services Center, 4999 Casa Loma Ave., Yorba Linda.
All forums will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The committee will also accept written, signed comments, which can be mailed to: Attendance Area Boundary Committee, c/o Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, 1301 E. Orangethorpe Ave., Placentia.
