SANTA CLARITA : City to Accept Trees After the Holidays
Live Christmas trees no longer wanted after the holidays may be donated to the city of Santa Clarita, which will replant them.
The trees will be accepted Saturday, Jan. 9, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the city’s Field Services Office at 25663 Ave. Stanford, spokeswoman Gail Foy said. Donated trees will be planted at city parks or given to local groups, Foy said.
Santa Clarita residents can also have their untrimmed Christmas trees picked up free of charge on their regular curbside recycling days during the three weeks after Christmas, Foy said.
