Conditions Fairly Good Despite Foul Weather

Bad weather usually means less fishing but not necessarily bad fishing, according to reports from around Southern California this week.
Vicki Ybarra at Pyramid Lake said Tuesday: “I thought the fishing had died down (Monday). It was yucky all day long. But last night here come the fish.”
Most of the catches were striped bass, but Rich Menendez of Van Nuys also landed a three-pound smallmouth.
Jeff Victor at Castaic said there were no spectacular catches, but the regulars who know the lake continued to take largemouths weighing more than 10 pounds.
