VENTURA : Woman Arrested in Shooting Incident
A Ventura woman was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon Thursday after she fired a handgun at a group of teen-agers outside her east Ventura condominium, authorities said.
No one was injured in the incident, which occurred about 5:30 p.m. at the Turtle Creek Condominiums on Saratoga Avenue.
Ventura police arrested Patty Wilson, 24, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and firing a weapon at an inhabited dwelling, said Ventura Police Sgt. Carl Handy.
“She apparently had an ongoing type feud with the kids,” Handy said. “She got mad at them, started yelling and then took a shot at one of them.”
Handy said police recovered a .38-caliber handgun from Wilson and found a bullet they believed that she fired embedded in the support beam of a neighboring unit’s balcony.
