A Helpful John Dorr

Share

The late John Dorr was far more dedicated to the aesthetics and true independent spirit of the mediums of film, TV and video than anyone else I’ve ever heard or read about, encountered or met, worked for or against (“John Dorr; Studio Helped Young Filmmakers,” Section A, Jan. 4). In the nine years I knew Dorr, he never failed me, although some people failed him.

While his brainchild, EZTV, demanded long hours and loads of stress with little financial reward, Dorr was always willing to listen, consult and, most of all, help. People could count on Dorr to assist them in seeing their project or vision through.

Even the short-term, merely-passing-through, low-to-no-budget clientele of EZTV couldn’t ask for a better deal on rates and facilities. I hope EZTV carries Dorr’s spirit well into the future.
