Victims of Blaze Provided Lodging

Share

About 35 residents of the Tustin Arms Apartments who were burned out of their homes Saturday are staying in a motel or empty apartments courtesy of their landlord.

The Orange County Fire Department on Sunday still had not determined the cause of the fire that raced through the shake-roofed complex at 15701 Tustin Village Way shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday.

Twelve units in the building were so severely damaged that they were declared off-limits. The tenants were forced to flee their burning apartments and many of them lost all of their possessions. No one was injured in the blaze.

The Red Cross also gave many of the families vouchers to pay for food and clothing.
