NFL, Rozelle, Officials and the Super Bowl

Your writer left out one of the things Pete Rozelle is best known for (Q & A, Jan. 24):
Those of us old enough to remember the Kennedy assassination recall that whereas every theater and concert hall was closed and all other entertainment events including commercial TV were halted, Rozelle ordered the NFL to play that Sunday.
Pete Rozelle showed a lot of class that day. All third.
