One of the streaks had to end, and this time it was San Antonio’s.

Danny Ainge scored a season-high 26 points, 15 on three-pointers, and the Phoenix Suns ended the Spurs’ franchise-record 10-game winning streak with a 125-110 victory Friday night at Phoenix.

The Spurs also ended the Suns’ club-record and NBA season-best 14-game winning streak on Jan. 3 with a controversial 114-113 overtime victory. The Suns unsuccessfully protested that game, claiming San Antonio had six players on the court in the last second of regulation.

“We didn’t expect to win them all,” said John Lucas, who lost for the third time in 18 games since taking over as Spur coach on Dec. 18.

Boston 116, Orlando 105-- Kevin McHale scored seven consecutive points to erase a 97-90 deficit in the final two minutes of regulation, and the Celtics went on to beat the Magic in overtime at Orlando after Shaquille O’Neal fouled out.

Reggie Lewis, who had 28 points, made a jump shot with 5.3 seconds to play in regulation to send the game into overtime.

O’Neal had 26 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out 27 seconds into overtime.

Detroit 112, Minnesota 103--Joe Dumars scored 28 points at Detroit as the Pistons increased the Timberwolves’ losing streak to six games.
