Share

More than $28,000 is available for area service organizations, cultural programs and the arts through city-sponsored grants that will be awarded by June 30.

Applications are now being accepted for $15,000 in community services grants and $13,200 offered for culture and the arts.

Candidates will be reviewed by a City Council subcommittee and then the full council. The grant requests will be judged on direct service and benefit to the greatest number of city residents, said Pamela Lawrence, assistant to the city manager.
