Dr. Arthur M. Southam has been named president and chief executive officer of CareAmerica Health Plans, a Chatsworth-based health plan that has 185,000 members in Southern California. Southam, formerly CareAmerica’s chief operating officer, replaces Larry D. Gray, who announced his resignation Monday. Southam’s appointment is effective March 6. CareAmerica is a privately held subsidiary of UniHealth America and has about $300 million in annual revenue.
