Ronald Spurr has been named general manager of the Camarillo Daily News. Spurr takes over duties previously handled by Julie Doll, who resigned as publisher of the Daily News after that newspaper and the Simi Valley Enterprise were bought last fall by John P. Scripps Newspapers, which also owns the Ventura Star-Free Press and the Thousand Oaks News-Chronicle. Since 1978, Spurr has been a business manager at the Ventura Star-Free Press.
