COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Ross’ Record Performance Sparks Pacific Christian
Charles Ross scored 36 points to break the Pacific Christian College single-season scoring record and help the Royals to a 109-73 Western Christian Athletic Conference victory over Southwestern (Ariz.) Monday at Cal State Fullerton.
Ross, who had 25 points in the first half as PCC took a 56-29 lead, has scored 913 points in 26 games, which breaks the record of Mike Vincent, who scored 878 in 42 games in the 1990-91 season.
Eric Bajus had 23 points, nine rebounds and 11 assists for PCC (19-10, 8-0), which won the conference title.
In nonconference women’s basketball:
West Texas State 91, Chapman 44--Natalie Ramirez had nine points and two three-pointers for the Panthers (2-18), who shot 26% from the field.
