Man, Police Seek Clue to His Identity

Los Angeles police are searching for clues to the identity of a young man who woke up Saturday morning next to the Greyhound bus station in Hollywood not knowing who he is or how he got here.

Police say the man is about 22, stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and is left-handed. He wore Western-style clothing--blue jeans, cowboy boots and a denim jacket with the initials EVK embroidered on it--and has a Southwestern accent.

He did not appear to be on drugs or alcohol, Sgt. Jim Blum said.

The man apparently wandered around the bus station Saturday, questioning people about his identity, before he went to the police.

“He can’t remember anything that happened to him before 10 this morning,” Blum said. “He has no papers on him, no wallet and no identifying information at all.”

He was sent to County-USC Medical Center for examination.
