COLLEGE BASEBALL ROUNDUP : Titans Support Parisi With 19 Hits, Knock Off Loyola

Tony Banks hit a grand slam and Mike Parisi pitched a complete game as Cal State Fullerton defeated host Loyola Marymount, 12-4, Wednesday.
Jeremy Carr was five for six, and Banks hit his second home run of the season to lead the 19-hit attack for the Titans (4-3). Jim Betzsold added four hits, including a double and a home run.
Parisi (1-0) gave up 11 hits while giving up one run in the first inning, two in the third and one in the ninth.
Loyola Marymount (3-6) was led on offense by Scott Seal, a former Irvine High School standout, who went three for four, including a double and a home run.
In other nonconference baseball games:
Christ College Irvine 5, Cal Baptist 2--Starting pitcher Mike Crumrine gave up six hits over seven innings while giving up just two runs for Christ College Irvine (3-3-1). Trevor Earle relieved Crumrine and pitched the eighth inning before Shawn Harris pitched the ninth to pick up a save.
T.J. Wilcoxson doubled in two runs in the third inning for CCI, and Paul Chavez added two hits and scored two runs.
Southern California College 2, The Master’s 1--Mike Weinstein faced two batters more than the minimum, pitching a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and one walk for host SCC (5-4). Ted Wieczorek tripled in the seventh inning and scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Dwight Neade.
