Countywide : Volunteers Sought to Be Reading Tutors
The Orange County Public Library’s Read program is seeking volunteers to become reading tutors.
Would-be tutors are being asked to attend an orientation March 4 at the La Habra Branch Library on East La Habra Boulevard.
Attendance at three training sessions at the library is also required for those wishing to become certified tutors. The sessions will be held March 6 and 20 and May 1 at 9 a.m.
After receiving certification, tutors are paired with students. Thirty people seeking help are already on a waiting list.
