Rain Can’t Dampen Interest in Car Show as It Nears Final Day

The Orange County International Auto Show enters its final weekend today with what organizers called strong attendance in the face of an onslaught of new winter storms. Attendance at the show was holding even with last year’s until Thursday’s rain, show manager Bill Schultz said. “But the people who came out Thursday were really interested in cars,” he said. The show features displays of 450 vehicles by 35 manufacturers. When the show ends its nine-day run Sunday evening, it also will end its eight years in temporary buildings in the Anaheim Stadium parking lot. Beginning Nov. 23, the annual show will move under the permanent roof of the Anaheim Convention Center, where it will nearly double in size.
