Outlook: Although Mark Christensen has graduated and gone on to UC Irvine, Trabuco Hills should still be among the county’s top teams. Sabella believes the Mustangs have the depth to challenge for the section and CIF-SCGA championships again. “I think we have the potential to go as far as we did last year,” Sabella said. “I’ve got a lot of experienced players. Four of my six have been on the varsity for four years.” It has been a successful few seasons: Trabuco Hills has won or shared four consecutive Pacific Coast League titles. The Mustangs will also be bolstered by Rodgers, Eynon, Kim and McPherson, the core of the junior varsity team that was 17-1 last season.
