BEL-AIR : Church Panel Accepts Moomaw’s Resignation

Share

A regional governing body of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. on Tuesday approved the resignation of the Rev. Donn D. Moomaw as pastor of Bel-Air Presbyterian Church in Encino.

Moomaw, pastor to former President Ronald Reagan, had asked his congregation to accept his resignation because he said he had “stepped over the line of acceptable behavior” with some members of his church. Neither Moomaw nor church officials have explained the nature of the indiscretions Moomaw cited. The congregation voted Feb. 21 to accept his resignation. The action by the Presbytery of the Pacific finalized the matter.
