Brea-Olinda 77, Ventura 41--Host Brea-Olinda (29-2) ended Ventura’s season with a decisive victory in a Division II game. Ventura, runner-up in the Southern Section Division II-A, finished 24-5.

Brea-Olinda took a 29-6 lead after one quarter and led, 53-12, at halftime.

Ember Brown, a 5-foot-8 sophomore guard, scored 19 points to lead Ventura, which was a Southern Section divisional runner-up for the third time in four seasons.

Brea-Olinda guard Nicole Erickson scored 24 points, made four steals, grabbed four rebounds and had three assists in the first half alone. She did not score in the second half.

At the 6:07 mark in the second quarter, Erickson made a three-point shot that set a school record with her 614th point of the season. She broke the record of 613 set by Da Houl in 1981-82.

Brea-Olinda will play Carlsbad, champion of the San Diego Section, Thursday in a semifinal. Carlsbad was a 74-58 winner over Bakersfield South.

Bell-Jeff 56, Woodlake 42--The Guards (28-3) won the Division IV game against host Woodlake (25-3).

Bell-Jeff will meet Cerritos Valley Christian, a 29-point winner over Yosemite, in the semifinals Thursday.

The Bishop’s School 38, Bethel Christian 32--Molly Quinn scored 14 points to lead Bishop’s (21-6) in a Division V game at Paraclete High.

Jamie Kuete led Bethel Christian (21-6) with 11 points and Ellen Migasi had 12 rebounds.
