Hakeem Olajuwon agreed to a four-year contract extension Monday that reportedly could be worth up to $30 million and will keep the All-Star center bound to the Houston Rockets through the 1998-99 season.

The new contract comes a year after Rocket management and Olajuwon began a bitter dispute that started with General Manager Steve Patterson accusing Olajuwon of faking an injury as a ploy to get more money. Olajuwon denied the accusation.
