California Lutheran 37, Heritage Christian 4 (4 innings, mercy rule)--Jennifer Bengener hit home run for California Lutheran (3-0), which scored 22 times in the fourth inning.

Laguna Beach 7, Corona del Mar 6--Suzanne Herbert’s single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh drove in Robin Phillips with the winning run for Laguna Beach (2-5).

Brea-Olinda 2, La Habra 1--Stephanie Carew had three hits, including a two-run homer, for host Brea-Olinda (3-5).

Sunny Hills 3, Rosary 2--Bernie Fancuberta went the distance to earn the victory for host Sunny Hills (2-3), striking out 12 and walking none. Fancuberta, who went two for two, had all three RBIs for the Lancers, with a home run in the fourth and a triple in the sixth.

Canyon 6, La Quinta 1--Jennifer Broughten went two for four with an RBI and earned a complete-game victory for Canyon (4-4). Nina Lindenberg went two for three with two runs scored.

Fullerton 1-0, Villa Park 0-3--Angie Fancuberta pitched a four-hit shutout in the opener for Fullerton (5-4). Tammy Kincaid gave up four hits for Villa Park (6-2) in the nightcap.

Esperanza 14, Edison 1--Esperanza center fielder Michelle Taylor had a two-run double, scored two runs and stole a base for visiting Esperanza.

Danielle Wilson earned the victory for Esperanza (3-3), with seven strikeouts and allowed no walks and one earned run. Designated hitter Janette Ortiz went one for three with a home run in the seventh for Edison (1-4).

Sonora 5, Magnolia 0--Catcher Holly Kent, who went one for three with two RBIs for Sonora (5-3), drove in Michelle Rodriguez on a triple in the first. Rodriguez went three for four, scored one run and had one RBI and two stolen bases. Rodriguez singled in the fifth to score Layna Durgos. Host Magnolia is 1-4.
