The NFL opened its annual March meetings Sunday with an announcement that it will choose the sites for the last three Super Bowls of this century during its May meetings in Dallas.

Among the cities expected to enter bids for either 1997, 1998 or 1999 are Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego. A Los Angeles game would be played in the Rose Bowl, San Francisco’s in Stanford Stadium.

NFL sources predicted that one of the three games will be voted to California, one to Florida and possibly one to New Orleans.
