United Way Party to Honor Volunteers

United Way of Ventura County plans to throw a rock ‘n’ roll party Friday at the Ventura County Fairgrounds to give recognition to contributors and volunteers who have helped the charity’s 1993 campaign.
The bar opens at 7 p.m. in the Agriculture Building in Ventura, and an Italian buffet dinner is to be served there at 7:30, with dancing and entertainment scheduled to follow at 9.
The band Global Affair is scheduled to play rock ‘n’ roll tunes and door prizes will be awarded in the event, which organizers have dubbed “Rock ‘n’ Roll Heaven.”
Tickets cost $10 per person, or $90 for a table of 10 people. For information on the event, call the United Way of Ventura County at 485-6288.
