SIMI VALLEY : Howard to Alter Her Office Hours

Share

Supervisor Vicky Howard today will begin opening her Simi Valley office earlier and closing it later in anticipation of a new county work schedule.

The county schedule, approved by supervisors last week, will reduce the number of days most county offices are open but increase their daily hours.

Howard’s office, at 3855-F Alamo St., will now open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m., giving constituents an extra 30 minutes in the morning and evening.

The office will be open Monday through Friday, but Howard’s administrative assistants will make up for the extra hours by rotating Friday shifts so each will have one day off every two weeks, an assistant said.

The schedule will be in effect until May 23, when the county switches most offices to a four-day workweek with hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
