Hundreds of people cheered their hometown heroes on the streets of Bakersfield.
The undefeated Cal State Bakersfield basketball team was feted at City Hall by band music, cheerleaders, politicians and fans. The Roadrunners completed a 33-0 season by beating Troy (Ala.) State in the NCAA Division II final last Saturday.
