SIMI VALLEY : Senior Center to Host Fund-Raisers
Two fund-raising events--an arts and crafts fair and a pancake breakfast--will be held today and Saturday at the Simi Valley Senior Center.
The crafts fair runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days at the center, 3900 Avenida Simi. Sale crafts will include decorations, bead jewelry, doll clothing, dried flower arrangements, porcelain dolls and Easter items.
Admission will be free.
Sales space will only be provided to people 50 or older. Sales space proceeds will go to the Simi Valley Council on Aging, which buys supplies and equipment for the senior center.
The pancake breakfast, sponsored by the Council on Aging and the Rancho Simi Rotary Club, will be held in the senior center from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The breakfast costs $3 per person, and proceeds will go to the Simi Valley Meals on Wheels program.
