PREP ROUNDUP : Bolsa Grande’s Ralpho Drives In the Winning Run

Rony Ralpho had a two-out, run-scoring double in the sixth inning to help Bolsa Grande to a 1-0 victory over host Garden Grove Monday in a Garden Grove League baseball game.

Mike Rinkovsky was hit by a pitch with one out and subsequently scored on Ralpho’s double. Rinkovsky (2-3) also gave up one hit in 5 2/3 innings for the victory.

Mike Moore pitched the final 1 1/3 innings for the save for Bolsa Grande (5-9-1, 2-3 in league). Garden Grove is 8-5-1, 1-4.

In nonleague boys’ tennis:

University 14, Thousand Oaks 4--Eric Peterson swept 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, and Jason Meyers swept 6-1, 6-4, 6-0, in singles for visiting University (11-2).

In nonleague girls’ swimming:

Villa Park 109, Vista 62--Mary Krill, Catherine Pharris and Michelle Morris each won two events for visiting Villa Park (5-1). Krill won the 200 individual medley (2:26.86) and 100 freestyle (1:01.24), Pharris took the 500 freestyle (5:27.41) and 100 breaststroke (1:15.23) and Morris won the 50 freestyle (25.79) and 100 backstroke (1:06.27).

In nonleague golf:

Trabuco Hills 395, Los Amigos 436--Zachary Allen shot a one-under 35 at Mile Square in the second half of an 18-hole match for Trabuco Hills (10-0).
