PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP : Capistrano Valley Sweeps Away El Toro
Aaron Garcia had 18 kills and Eric Seiffert added 17 to lead Capistrano Valley, the No. 1 ranked team in Orange County, to a 15-3, 17-15, 15-6 victory over El Toro in a South Coast League boys’ volleyball match Tuesday at Capistrano Valley High.
The Cougars improved to 9-0, 3-0 in league. El Toro is 2-1 in league.
In another South Coast League match:
San Clemente 3, Mission Viejo 0--Travis Eaton had 10 kills and three aces as San Clemente won, 15-6, 15-4, 15-3. San Clemente (6-1, 2-1) is ranked sixth in Orange County.
In the Century League:
El Modena 3, Canyon 1--Casey Shine had 27 kills and served six aces as host El Modena (4-4, 3-0), which won, 17-15, 14-16, 15-4, 15-12. Canyon is 1-2 in league.
Valencia 3, Orange 0--Kevin Deck had 10 kills for Valencia (4-5, 2-1), which won, 15-9, 15-2, 15-11.
Villa Park 3, Western 2--Kris Hampton had 21 kills and Ryan Garrahy added 17 for host Villa Park (6-4, 2-1), which won, 11-15, 15-13, 14-16, 17-15, 15-6. Western is 1-9, 0-3.
