Newport Harbor 5, Saddleback 3--Justin Ketchum hit a two-run home run for visiting Newport Harbor (5-14, 3-5).
University 6, Santa Margarita 4--With the score tied, 4-4, in the top of the sixth, Jason Young drove in the go-ahead run with a triple for the Trojans (13-6-1, 4-3-1).
In the Academy League:
Liberty Christian 6, St. Margaret’s 2--Paul Malcom drove in two runs with a two-out single in the bottom of the fifth for Liberty Christian (9-6, 2-1).
In the Century League:
Villa Park 4, Foothill 3 (9 innings)--Kayvan Pejouhian hit a home run in the top of the ninth inning for Villa Park (10-8, 5-3).
Santa Ana Valley 6, El Modena 5--Rick Crosby walked and later scored on a single by German Nunez to break a 5-5 tie in the seventh for host Santa Ana Valley (8-10, 4-4).
In the Freeway League:
Troy 4, Buena Park 3--Brad Downing, who had two hits and three RBIs, hit a home run in the seventh for Troy (14-3-1, 8-0-1).
Fullerton 10, Sonora 7--Keith Ginter had three home runs and four RBIs for host Fullerton (5-11-2, 3-5-1).
In the Garden Grove League:
La Quinta 7, Santiago 0--Jim Livernois pitched a one-hitter for La Quinta (16-4, 6-2).
Kennedy 8, Los Amigos 5--John Guthrie had two hits and R.J. Gonzales had a home run for host Kennedy (7-1 in league).
In the Orange League:
Anaheim 7, Brea-Olinda 6--Fernando Garcia singled in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for host Anaheim (5-15, 2-7).
In the South Coast League:
El Toro 7, San Clemente 1--Mike Lutterloh, Josh Frick and Didgit Tuttle each had two RBIs for El Toro.
In the Sunset League:
Huntington Beach 8, Marina 3--Mike Janson had a two-run double as visiting Huntington Beach (11-11, 4-4) scored seven runs in the sixth inning.
Edison 9, Servite 5--Todd Belitz (5-0) picked up the victory and had two hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs and Greg Hanoian had two doubles and two RBIs for the visiting Chargers (16-3, 8-0).
