Titans Land L.A. Dorsey Guard
Cal State Fullerton has received a letter of intent from Davy Fordson, a 6-foot-3 guard from Los Angeles Dorsey High.
Fordson, who averaged 22 points, five rebounds and two assists last season for a 15-12 Dorsey team, has not yet fulfilled eligibility requirements related to the Scholastic Aptitude Test.
“He’s very quick and athletic,” Titan Coach Brad Holland said. “We think he has a chance to be an excellent college player in our league.”
Dorsey Coach Kevin Gibson said Fordson can play either point- or off-guard.
“He has a good outside jumper and shoots the three very well,” Gibson said. “A lot of people don’t think he’s strong, but he’s wiry strong.”
Gibson said Fordson visited only Fullerton, although Drake and Cal State Long Beach also recruited him.
