A pedestrian was killed Monday after apparently stepping in front of a Metrolink commuter train in a “possible suicide,” police said.
The man, whose identification was unavailable late Monday, is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, Glendale Police Agent Susan Hodgman said. No other injuries were reported. Hodgman could not say how many passengers were on the train at the time of the 3:50 p.m. incident at Grandview Avenue, west of San Fernando Road in Glendale.
Investigators suspect that the man walked in front of the southbound train.
“There’s evidence at the scene that it may be a possible suicide,” she said. “He left some personal effects, such as wallet, glasses and some papers.”
