Dawn Coe-Jones shot an eight-under-par 64, by two strokes the lowest score of her 10 professional seasons, to take a one-shot lead after the opening round of the Sara Lee Classic at Nashville, Tenn.
The 64 was one stroke off the course record, set by Amy Benz last year.
Ayako Okamoto, who won the tournament in 1990, shot a 65 that featured an eagle and five birdies.
