In Division I:

Capistrano Valley 3, Trabuco Hills 0--Evan Alexander has eight kills for top-seeded Capistrano Valley, which won, 15-1, 15-7, 15-6. The Cougars (17-0) will play Fountain Valley in the second round Tuesday.

Fountain Valley 3, Tustin 0--Sam Grimm had 12 kills, Daniel Arvesen had 11 kills and Israel Garcia had 50 assists for host Fountain Valley (12-3), which won 15-11, 15-9, 15-13.

Huntington Beach 3, Woodbridge 0--Outside hitter Shad Walker had 16 kills and Nick Ziegler had 14 to lead the Sunset League champions past Woodbridge, 15-6, 15-9, 15-10. The third-seeded Oilers (18-0) play San Clemente in the second round Tuesday.

San Clemente 3, Estancia 0--Gabe Gardner had 11 kills for host San Clemente (12-3), which won, 15-6, 15-2, 15-7.

Irvine 3, Santa Ana 1--Greg Wakeham’s 28 kills and Eric Phernambucq’s 61 assists helped Irvine (15-4) to a 9-15, 15-5, 15-5, 15-9.

In Division II:

Foothill 3, El Modena 0--Matt Gerad’s 12 kills helped Foothill (13-2) advance with a 15-3, 15-8, 15-10 victory at home. El Modena finishes 9-7.

La Quinta 3, Long Beach Poly 1--Brad Huss had 20 kills and Tan Vu added 16 for the Garden Grove League champions, who won 15-12, 13-15, 15-11, 15-5. La Quinta (16-1) will play Foothill in the second round Tuesday.

Esperanza 3, West Valley 0--Chris Pitzak’s 33 assists helped Esperanza (14-1) to a 15-2, 15-3, 15-9 victory. The Aztecs will play Los Amigos in the second round Tuesday.

Los Amigos 3, Valencia 2--Visiting Los Amigos (10-5) lost the first two games, then rallied for an 8-15, 9-15, 15-10, 16-14, 15-5 victory. Brian Laske 46 kills, Kiet Tran and Quan Nguyen added 21 each for the Lobos.

In Division III:

Calvary Chapel 3, Santa Fe Springs St. Paul 0--Phillip Schildts, Robert Schildts and Jason Greenhalgh each had eight kills for host Calvary Chapel (13-2), which won 15-3, 15-10, 15-3.
