UCLA Is No. 1 in Seedings for NCAA Softball

The defending national champion UCLA women’s softball team was seeded No. 1 and Cal State Northridge No. 2 on Sunday for the 20-team NCAA tournament, which begins Friday.
UCLA and Northridge will play host to two-team regionals, each with best-of-three-game series.
The Bruins (44-3) will play host to 15th-seeded Cal State Fullerton (37-19) on Friday and Saturday. Northridge (45-6-1) will play host to 11th-seeded Fresno State (35-22) on Saturday and Sunday.
Cal State Long Beach (42-18) was seeded seventh and will play in a regional along with Cal State Sacramento (36-19) at California (35-18).
