The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between May 10 and 16:
Glendale
Griswold Street, 300 block--A robber ran up behind a woman and grabbed her purse, containing $35, at 8:40 a.m. May 11.
San Fernando Road and Harvard Street--A man left his cellular phone, valued at $450, and wallet in a shopping cart and drove off, returning within five minutes to find the items gone at 1 p.m. May 12.
East Colorado Street, 1300 block--A robber took $400 from a liquor store at gunpoint at 11:30 p.m. May 12.
North Central Avenue, 300 block--After backing a van up to the rear of a furniture store, thieves pried open the door and stole an unknown amount of leather furniture at 2:20 a.m. May 13.
Brand Boulevard, 100 block--A wallet containing $160 was stolen from a man’s pocket at a farmers market between 11 and 11:30 a.m. May 13.
North Glendale Avenue, 300 block--Thieves stole about 30 pallets, valued together at $600, from a supermarket at 2:30 p.m. May 14.
Boston Avenue, 4300 block--A thief took a bicycle, valued at $500, from an open garage at 3:45 p.m. May 14.
Fernando Court, 400 block--An arsonist broke the window of an electrical warehouse and threw a lighted bottle inside, causing severe damage to the business at 11:10 p.m. May 14.
Portola Avenue, 700 block--Thieves took a television, video recorder and two cordless phones, valued together at $440, from a private residence on May 14 or 15.
South Central Avenue, 300 block--Thieves smashed the front windows of a clothing store and took clothes, valued at $32,695, at 2:45 a.m. May 15.
La Canada Flintridge
Foothill Boulevard, 700 block--A robber stole $435 from a bank after presenting a note to a teller at 1:40 p.m. May 10.
La Crescenta
Henrietta Street, 3000 block--Thieves smashed a bedroom window to steal cash, jewelry and a camcorder, valued together at $5,940, on May 16 or 17.
Eagle Rock
North Avenue 55, 1800 block--After prying a screen off a window, thieves entered a private residence and stole a radio, valued at $1,700, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 10.
Echo Park
Elsinore and Waterloo streets--After recognizing a robber from a prior incident, a woman tried to run but was stopped at gunpoint and ordered to drop her purse, containing $130, at 6:15 a.m. May 10.
North Glendale Boulevard, 1500 block--Thieves pried open the security gate to a mini-market and smashed the front-door window to steal liquor and cigarettes, valued together at $2,100, on May 11 or 12.
Lake Shore Avenue, 1800 block--A robber took $1,260 at gunpoint from two people on the street at 12:40 p.m. May 13.
Preston Avenue, 1900 block--After entering a residence through a cut rear-door screen, thieves took $1,200 from a purse in a bedroom closet between 11:45 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. May 14.
Vestal Avenue, 2000 block--Thieves ransacked a private residence and stole a TV and telephone equipment, valued together at $1,110, between 12:30 and 2 p.m. May 14.
Lake Shore Avenue and Montana Street--Robbers displayed a gun and demanded money, then fired four to six rounds when the intended victims fled at 2:25 p.m. May 16.
Glassell Park
Verdugo Road, 3300 block--Thieves took auto parts, valued at $1,066, in a theft discovered May 10.
Verdugo View Drive, 3900 block--After pushing open an unlocked window, thieves entered a private residence and stole jewelry and video equipment, valued together at $4,985, between 8:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 15.
Estara Avenue, 3000 block--Thieves broke the side windows of a junior high school, then vandalized the room and stole supplies, valued at $500, at 3 p.m. May 15.
Highland Park
York Boulevard, 4600 block--After cutting the locks on a security gate, thieves entered a shopping mall and stole cash and clothing, valued together at $50,600, on May 10 or 11.
North Avenue 59, 300 block--Thieves entered through a bedroom window and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,435, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. May 11.
Mount Angelus Drive, 6100 block--Thieves stole a TV and video equipment, valued together at $1,655, from a private residence between 9:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. May 12.
York Boulevard, 5800 block--A robber followed a woman into a beauty shop and grabbed her purse, containing $365, at 5:50 a.m. May 14.
Avenue 57 and Figueroa Street--Robbers approached a person using an automated teller machine, displayed a handgun, punched the person in the face and escaped in the victim’s car at 12:40 a.m. May 16.
Los Feliz
Hillhurst Avenue, 1700 block--Robbers with a handgun stole cash and a gun, valued together at $1,650, from a liquor store at 10:10 p.m. May 10.
Ambrose Avenue, 4600 block--Thieves cut a screen and unlocked a window to steal clothing and camera equipment, valued together at $3,100, from a private residence between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. May 13.
Santa Monica Boulevard, 4500 block--Robbers with a gun took $335 from a bar at 1:30 a.m. May 15.
North Vermont Avenue, 1800 block--While posing as a postal employee, a robber pointing a gun took $23,894 from a post office loading dock at 4:05 p.m. May 15.
Mt. Washington
North Figueroa Street, 3900 block--Robbers pressed a sharp object to the victim’s side, then stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $420, and the victim’s car at 10 p.m. May 15.
Avenue 58 and Marmion Way--A robber with a handgun opened a car door and took the driver’s cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,500, at 11:45 p.m. May 15.
Silver Lake
Silver Ridge Avenue, 2400 block--Entering a private residence through an unsecured side door, thieves stole a radio and camera equipment, valued together at $6,870, between 10:30 and 11:10 a.m. May 10.
Glendale Boulevard, 2400 block--A robber with a gun took $1,000 from a bank at 1 p.m. May 10.
Glenfeliz Boulevard, 3800 block--A robber approached a woman from behind and grabbed her purse, containing $105, medication and credit cards, at 5:55 p.m. May 10.
Hyperion Avenue, 1800 block--After searching a man, a robber escaped with cash and jewelry, valued together at $10,105, at 10:10 p.m. May 10.
Boulevard, 3700 block--Robbers wearing ski masks and carrying a rifle tied up the occupants of a liquor store and stole $3,000 at 11 p.m. May 11.
Hyperion Avenue, 2900 block--Robbers with a gun stole beer, valued at $18, from a mini-market at 1:45 a.m. May 12.
Manzanita Street, 1000 block--A man’s car was taken at gunpoint in a parking facility at 2:40 a.m. May 13.
Acresite Street, 3000 block--After prying open a front door, thieves stole $3,000 from a dresser between 1:30 and 4 p.m. May 14.
Clayton Avenue, 4200 block--Putting a headlock on their victim, robbers with a gun took cash and jewelry, valued together at $505, at 6:10 p.m. May 14.
