Duggan, Rider Qualify for U.S. Open Finals
Stacy Rider and Anne Marie Duggan, both of La Habra, qualified as two of the five finalists Friday in the $100,000 BPAA U.S. Open at Showplace Lanes.
Dede Davidson of San Jose is the top finalist, winning 22 matches, losing two and tying none and had a total pinfall of 12,949.
Rider was fourth with a 13-11 record and pinfall of 12,505, and Duggan, the 1991 U.S. Open champion, was 10-14 and 12,361.
Dana Miller-Mackie of Ft. Worth was second with an 18-5-1 record and pinfall of 12,655, and Sandra Jo-Shiery of Coldwater, Mich., was third with 16-8, 12,570.
Today’s finalists will compete for an $18,000 first prize.
