Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Los Angeles man Monday afternoon on suspicion of bludgeoning to death a restaurant busboy in his Newbury Park home on May 25.

Raul Paul Urquidi, 23, is suspected of beating to death Rudolfo Macias, 25, in his bedroom and fleeing in the victim’s Chevrolet Blazer, detectives said.

Urquidi, who goes by the nickname of “Nacona,” was staying as a guest of other residents of the three-bedroom house where Macias shared a room with his brother, detectives said.

On the day of the murder, Macias was discovered by his brother lying in a pool of blood, his skull and chest smashed, authorities said.

Sheriff’s detectives, who arrested Urquidi in Los Angeles, said they found him with the help of his relatives.

Urquidi was arrested on suspicion of violating his parole, detectives said. He is being held without bail at the Ventura County Jail until the district attorney reviews the case, they said.
