United Way Grant Applications
The United Way is seeking applications for $700,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations serving children and youths.
Groups must serve communities bounded by West Hollywood on the west, East Los Angeles on the east, Hollywood Hills on the north and Compton on the south.
A proposal, plus 10 copies, must be submitted by 5 p.m. Friday to the United Way of Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Region, 621 S. Virgil Ave., Los Angeles 90005, Attention: Charlotte Torres.
The agencies awarded grants will be notified by Aug. 30 and the contract period will run from Sept. 1 to August, 1994.
