McCaughey, Cook Pace the Bullfrogs

Joe Cook and Brad McCaughey each scored three goals as the Bullfrogs beat the Oakland Skates Sunday in front of 2,289 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena to remain undefeated in Roller Hockey International play.

At halftime, players squared off in the corridor leading to the locker rooms before coaches and league officials calmed them down. The Bullfrogs, who lead the league in penalties, were called for 10 Sunday, compared to the Skates’ six.

Oakland scored twice early in the fourth quarter to tie the score, 11-11, but the Bullfrogs regained the lead at 5:21 on a goal by Christian LaLonde. Victor Gervais and Bob McKillop followed with goals within the next 1:20.

The Bullfrogs (4-0) trailed, 9-7, early in the third quarter, but scored four consecutive goals to take the lead, 11-9.
