Firm Gets Babe’s John Hancock

Allstar Marketing Corp., which sells sports collectibles, said Monday it signed slugger Babe Ruth to join pitching ace Nolan Ryan on its roster.

Allstar, a subsidiary of Sports Heroes Inc., said it acquired exclusive rights from Curtis Management Group to use Ruth’s replica signature on baseballs Allstar sells primarily to businesses, which use them for promotions.

Allstar, based in Elmsford, N.Y., will pay Curtis Management minimum undisclosed royalties for using the Ruth signature.

Sports Heroes, based in Oradell, N.J., sells vintage sports memorabilia used by professional athletes.
