Woman, 36, Is Killed in Crash on Ventura Freeway

A 36-year-old woman died early Saturday in Sherman Oaks after she lost control of her car on the Ventura Freeway and slammed into the center divider, authorities said.
The woman, whose identity was not released pending notification of her family, was from Hawaii, California Highway Patrol Officer Susan Seruga said.
The 1:55 a.m. accident occurred when the woman, driving west, crossed five lanes of traffic and hit the center divider near Fulton Avenue, Seruga said.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, Seruga said.
