Dan Marino, who spent most of the past decade throwing to the “Marks Brothers”--Mark Duper and Mark Clayton--will have new targets this season.
Duper, 34, was released by the Miami Dolphins on Saturday, a month after Clayton left the team to sign with the Green Bay Packers. Duper was the second-leading receiver in the team’s history, with 511 catches to Clayton’s 550 and is No. 1 on the yardage list with 8,869 yards in 11 seasons.
The Dolphins have added receivers Irving Fryar, obtained from New England in a trade; Mark Ingram, signed as a free agent from the New York Giants, and O.J. McDuffie, the Dolphins’ first pick in the NFL draft.

San Francisco 49er wide receiver Jerry Rice said he and the team are renegotiating his contract, a three-year, $7.8-million deal signed last season. Rice said if an agreement is not reached he might consider ending his career with another club.
