Mike Dyal, a sixth-year tight end with the Kansas City Chiefs and a former Raider, was taken off the practice field in River Falls, Wis., in an ambulance Tuesday after a violent collision with linebacker Percy Snow.

Dyal lay nearly motionless for almost 20 minutes before attendants gingerly lifted him into the ambulance that took him to a local hospital for examination.

“All evidence is that he’s fine. He had no pain. He had movement in all his limbs,” Coach Marty Schottenheimer said. “There was no evidence of any significant injury. We just wanted to be very careful. You can’t ever be too safe in situations like that.”
