LAPD Morale
It is hard to believe how out of touch some so-called community leaders can be. At a time when the morale of the LAPD is at an all-time low, the mere thought of contracting out police service in the San Fernando Valley must be a crushing blow to the men and women of our Police Department. To restore effective law enforcement in our city, police officers need to know that they have the support of the community. Sending out a message supporting replacement by another agency certainly does little to foster that objective.
