LOS ANGELES : Woman Pleads Not Guilty in White Supremacist Plot

Share

A North Hills woman pleaded not guilty Monday to charges that she and her husband conspired to manufacture and sell illegal weapons.

Federal prosecutors say the couple, Doris and Christian Gilbert Tony Nadal, are white supremacists who sold machine guns and silencers in the hope that they would be used to further a race war. Although both of the Nadals are charged in a 20-count federal indictment, prosecutors say Christian Nadal is the more serious suspect, and he faces more severe punishment if convicted.

Christian Nadal is in custody while his lawyer and family try to amass $250,000 in property to post bail. Doris Nadal is free on $25,000 bail.

Trial for both Nadals and a third defendant, Christopher James Berwick, has been scheduled for next month.
